Great tackle shops aren’t born; they’re built by people who fish every day. That’s how Kings Borough Angling started in 1998, right here in Brooklyn, with a simple idea: give New York anglers gear that actually works, advice that’s honest, and service that feels human.

1998
We opened our doors on Hancock Street with a tight selection, a spooling machine, and a stubborn belief that New York anglers deserved a proper local tackle shop.
2005
The repair bench became a full service station. Reels were stripped, rods were saved, and a lot of gear got a second life instead of heading to the bin.
2012
We introduced women-specific tackle selections after hearing from local anglers who wanted better fitting, better balanced equipment. Why force one setup on everyone?
2020
Our adaptive gear programme expanded so more people could fish comfortably, confidently, and on their own terms. That’s community fishing support in action.
